Left Field – 2020 Pandemic Recording
In April, 2020 during the Coronavirus Pandemic with all the social distancing measures in place, a need for hope and connection, and lots of time on our hands, we got back together for this recording.
In the mid-1990s, Debbie Graf, Marty Purdy, Brian Buford, and I got together and performed under the band name “Left Field”. (Pictures in the comments of our younger more beautiful selves).
Across the Great Divide
We almost always played this tune at Left Field shows. This recording may be the first time we actually added a bass to the mix. Recorded in the Fall of 2020.
And if you look over Marty’s shoulder, you can see Evel Knievel, the only dude capable of blasting his stunt cycle clear over the great divide without a net or a parachute.
Home
One of the regulars on the set list was a song called “Home” which we likely learned from a Bonnie Raitt recording. (Bonnie credits this song to Karla Bonoff.) Great to get these awesome folks back together for a physically distanced recording. Always love playing with these guys.
